The Post-Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling is designed to-
To impart knowledge of basics of Guidance and Counselling. To familiarize the students with applied and positive perspectives of Guidance and Counselling. To provide practical training in psychological assessment, conducting guidance and counseling programs/sessions, and hands-on training in work settings. Prepare the students as guidance and counseling professionals with the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitude. Prepare personnel who would work at all levels of education to guide students in their educational, personal, and career development. Enable the candidates to develop an understanding of – Human Development, Personality Development, Personality Disorders, Adolescents and young persons and their needs and counseling approaches and Practices. Facilitate the personal growth of the candidates of the Diploma course. Develop competence in counseling through practice.

Dr. Kiran Mishra
Dean and ProfessorDr. Kiran Mishra is currently serving as Dean Faculty of Education in Rabindranath Tagore University Raisen. She has obtained a doctorate degree in Education, and pursuing Doctorate in Psychology along with a master's degree in Education and Psychology. More than 20 national and international workshops, Seminar and Lecture Series have been implemented by her. She has been published 15 research papers in national level and 18 research papers in international level journals. She has a depth knowledge of Education as well as Psychology. Students are benefiting from the books written and edited by her. She has been awarded with Certificate of Appreciation under Child Rights Awareness Campaign at Gadha and HIV-AIDS Awareness Campaign Alampur. Many Educational Institutes of the state are taking advantage of her guest lectures’. More than 15 research scholars have obtained doctorate degree under her research guidance.
